On October 26th, The Cross-strait Youth Street Dance Cultural Exchange Event was held in Quzhou, Zhejiang. Nearly a hundred young Taiwanese dancers visited the Southern Confucius Temple to learn about the life of Confucius and the history of his time.

“We are all very interested in Confucius!” said Huang Shengwen, a dancer from Taiwan. He noted that although there are Confucius temples in Taiwan, the Chinese mainland's temples provide a more comprehensive record of Confucius’s related history. This visit allowed him to appreciate the profound historical culture of Quzhou.

“Confucius is our idol,”expressed Zhou Kaiyi, a member of the Taiwan Dream Builder Dance Troupe. He has a fondness for Confucianism and was thrilled during his visit to the Nankong Family Temple, even purchasing souvenirs.

Kong Lingli, the 76th direct descendant of Confucius and the director of southern Confucius Temple Management Committee, welcomed the Taiwanese youth. "We are all one family," he said, expressing his hope that Taiwanese youth would visit Quzhou more often in the future.

It is understood that this exchange event invited 150 street dance youths from Taiwan to participate, aiming to build a platform for cross-strait street dance dialogue. The event enabled young people from both sides of the strait to engage in face-to-face interactions, exchange street dance skills, spark ideas, and showcase the innovative vitality and cultural confidence of contemporary youth.
