China's offshore wind power resources are abundant and the development potential is huge, and the offshore wind power industry chain has been improving in recent years. The largest single capacity of China's offshore wind turbines has reached 20 megawatts, and the accumulated installed capacity will grow from less than 5 million kilowatts in 2018 to 37.7 million kilowatts in 2023, accounting for 50% of the world's total capacity. As of the third quarter of this year, China's accumulated offshore wind capacity has ranked first in the world for three consecutive years. It is predicted that by 2030, the total installed capacity of domestic offshore wind power will reach 200 million kilowatts, with a total investment of about 2.6 trillion, leading to a total output value of the industrial chain of more than 20 trillion.

China's wind turbine manufacturing capacity accounts for 60% of the global market, blade manufacturing capacity accounts for 64%, gearbox manufacturing capacity accounts for 80%, and generator manufacturing capacity accounts for 73%.  (By Jia Zifan/China Youth Daily)
