Japan Groups Seek China Visits to Ease Tensions
According to a report by Japan's Kyodo News on December 2nd, multiple related sources revealed that the cross-party organization, the Japan-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Union, conveyed a request to the Chinese side to "visit China before the end of 2025."
"Against the backdrop of deteriorating Japan-China relations following Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's parliamentary answers regarding 'a Taiwan contingency,' the Parliamentarians' Union stressed the importance of continuing exchanges to ease bilateral tensions," Kyodo wrote. "In addition, Nobunobu Tsutsui, Chairman of the Japan Business Federation, also requested the Chinese side accept plans for an economic delegation to visit Beijing in January next year."(Photo by AERA)
