The 2025 Understanding China Conference (Guangzhou) opened on December 1st. 

The conference is themed "New plan, new development, new choices—Chinese Modernization and New Global Governance Architecture." Over 800 Chinese and foreign guests gathered in Guangzhou, focusing on China's 15th Five-Year Plan and its global significance. They engaged in discussions on the new layout for innovative development in Chinese Modernization, the new opportunities it offers to global modernization, and joint efforts to implement global governance initiatives.
