China’s first domestically developed flexible intelligent welding robot system for offshore engineering has been put into use in Tianjin. Developed by CNOOC, the system tackles key technical challenges such as variable cross-section welding and AI visual recognition. It can automatically weld components with an efficiency increase of over 40% and a one-time pass rate exceeding 98%.
