Diego Hernández Huerta, Director of National and International Affairs at the Institute for Development and Attention to Young People from Guanajuato State, has led major projects aimed at developing digital skills for youth training and development. At the Young Digital Leaders Campus, he shared that these various digital education projects not only empower the youth with the tools and knowledge needed for sustainable development in the digital age, but they also help businesses to continue attracting young people. (By Liang Yan/ China Youth Daily)

 

As Executive President of YMCA Moldova, Dumitru Roibu leads one of the key youth NGOs in Moldova, focusing on digital initiatives. His projects include Digital Educational Centers, Gaming Activities, E-Sports Championships, HP IDEA, and HP LIFE. At the Young Digital Leaders Campus, Dumitru shared that their digital educational centers have equipped more than 300 schools with new digital tools, such as laptops and interactive whiteboards, and the overall number of beneficiaries is more than 200,000. Driving the implementation of impactful projects that enhance digital skills and engagement among young people, Dumitru has empowered the youth with the necessary competencies to prepare for the labor market. 

    

Jaime Francisco Ramirez Olmos works as a software engineer at Spotify, where he is responsible for developing a backend system that serves the business logic for ubiquitous devices. At the Young Digital Leaders Campus, Jaime shared his perspective on digital technology: "Technology is going to further improve people's lives by providing education and access to resources that were previously unavailable." He also emphasized the role of youth in challenging the status quo, enabling the emergence of new ideas and innovations. 

    

 

 

Jephthah Boatey Acheampong, Co-Founder & CEO of Blossom Academy, consults leading technology companies across Africa to understand their pain points and design curricula that enable students at Blossom Academy to provide immediate value upon career placement. At the Young Digital Leaders Campus, Jephthah emphasized that “if you are not on the table, you will be on the menu.” Following these beliefs, Jephthah’s training programs empower students with digital skills and help them advance in their careers through digital education. For example, Jephthahs team recently launched Blossom Corporate Training, where he has been instrumental in building a database of facilitators and relevant data courses to upskill government workers and private-sector employees.   

As the Partnership Development leader in Eidos Global, Marina Pistarini amplified her team’s global impact by securing over 50 key agreements with global entities such as IDB and UNICEF. Her leadership role extends to international platforms such as the UN General Assembly and the G20 Youth Group, where she facilitates educational policy innovations and youth representation. Marina also directs a pioneering global youth incubator, empowering 200 entrepreneurs with digital tools to develop sustainable businesses and advance SDGs. In the Young Digital Leaders Campus, Marina emphasized that it is necessary to understand the context in which digital technologies are applied since different countries and regions have varying circumstances in digital technology development. Therefore, we need to tailor solutions to bridge the digital divide. 

    

Dai Xiaochu, Deputy Director of ILO Country Office for China and Mongolia, expressed his belief in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “We can work together to bridge the digital divide through digital technology. We can create a fair, impartial, and more prosperous future for all through innovation”. 

   

Ge Jianxin, Professor and Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Central University of Finance and Economics, shared her insights on the interconnection between digital technology and entrepreneurship in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “Digital platforms broaden the channels of the start-up market, and digital policies consolidate the entrepreneurship guarantee system”. 

   

Li Shuhao, Founder and CEO of Tec-Do, expressed his expectations for intertwining digital technology and global business in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “In the current digital era, if there are opportunities to do global business through digitalization, the coverage of digital media and taking advantage of the social e-commerce windfall will definitely become a major trend.” 

   

As the Partner of Guangzhou Ruizi Venture Capital Equity Management Co., Ltd, Lin Nuoqian shared his view on digital technology and youth development from the perspective of a young entrepreneur in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “Digital technology drives economic development by boosting productivity and creating new job opportunities. Young people must continuously improve their digital skills to stay competitive and meet the challenges of the digital age”. 

    

Shi Yongchuan, Dean at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College of Wenzhou University, shared his observations on youth wisdom empowering digital development in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “Digital development is the trend in today's world, and youth is an emerging force leading the new round of technological and industrial revolution”. 

  

As the Head of the School of Manufacturing Engineering at Suranaree University of Technology, Wanwanut Boongsood chairs the Bachelor Programme in Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering. She collaborates closely with industry partners to ensure that the program curriculum aligns with current industry needs and prepares graduates for successful careers. Wanwanut expressed her expectations of the youth in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “Young people can use digital technology to promote innovation, to innovate for our future, and to create more opportunities”. 

   

Qin Qing, President of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association at the University of Science and Technology of China, introduced his team’s innovation of an industry-universal digital solution in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “We created a new application scenario for in-vehicle health technology by combining AI recognition technology with the blockchain depository technology. By detecting drivers' and passengers' heart and health data and generating reports, we help ensure their health and safety”. 

    

    

Xu Liwan, Executive Director of the Guangzhou Jisai Life Health Technology Co., Ltd., shared her experiences in applying digital technology to innovation and entrepreneurship in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “We applied digital technologies to process, analyze, and predict massive amounts of biological data, providing us with a platform to assess and predict disease, ageing, and tumors”. 

   

Ye Biao, Founder of Guangdong Touan Equipment Service Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Zhong’an Legal Service Co., Ltd., expressed his expectation for youth to seize the opportunities of digital transformation and create more social well-being in the Young Digital Leaders Campus, “As the young generation of the new century, we have great potential and opportunities in the wave of data development. Through continuous learning and creativity, we can seize opportunities in digital transformation, realize social value, and bring a better lifestyle to all mankind”.
