Aytan Aliyeva: Strengthening Digital Skills Education and Collaboratively Safeguarding Minors' Online Security
Aytan Aliyeva, President of "Great Silk Way"International Youth Union, shared her deep insights on online protection for minors. She pointed out that young people, especially teenagers, are eager to access information, education, social interaction, and self-expression through the internet, which offers them abundant opportunities. However, the internet also brings risks such as cyberbullying, trolling, isolation, and exposure to inappropriate content, all of which present significant challenges for minors.
Aytan believes that an effective solution to this issue is to incorporate digital skills education into school curricula, helping young people navigate the digital space safely and responsibly. She emphasized that the key to protecting teenagers lies in education, which is not only the responsibility of schools but also a collective task for all stakeholders. Only through collaboration can effective strategies be developed to ensure the physical and mental well-being of young people in the digital world.(Liang Yan, Liu Jiajia / China Youth Daily)
