With the widespread use of the internet, how minors can grow safely in the digital world has become a global focus. While the internet provides young people with a wealth of information and a space for self-expression, it also brings risks such as cyberbullying and privacy breaches. Ensuring better protection for minors has become an urgent issue that needs to be addressed.

At the 2024 World Internet Conference’s sub-forum on the Protection of Minors in Cyberspace, experts and leaders worldwide gathered to discuss how to tackle these challenges.

In this video, China Youth Daily’s reporter Liu Jiajia interviewed several guests, including Yoro Diallo, Executive director of the Center for Francophone Studies and the director of the African Museum of the Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University (IASZNU), and Awo Aidam Amenyah, Executive Director of Child Online Africa…… All the guests agreed that ensuring minors' safe growth online is a critical global issue. Protecting minors' online safety is not only the responsibility of families and governments, but also requires the collective efforts of the education sector, private enterprises, and social organizations.
