Jose Santiago Jara Sarracino, a Mexican biology student, shared his project Agropip, a program dedicated to developing a biopesticide based on piperamides from black pepper to combat the fall armyworm, a major pest that causes significant yield losses in maize. It aims to safeguard food security while reducing pesticide pollution and protecting biodiversity, driving the transformation of agriculture towards a safer and more climate-resilient future.
