As a youth leader under the Action Plan for Global Youth Development, Astrid Dayana Peraza from Costa Rica, developer of the Verde Mar program, presented her initiative to the 2025 Acceleration Week for Global Youth Development. The program aims to educate coastal communities about the importance of mangrove ecosystems through art and films that highlight local efforts in mangrove restoration. Since its launch, Verde Mar has worked to reconnect people with the ecosystems they inhabit, advocating for harmony between humanity and nature and making valuable contributions to global sustainable development.
