China is ready to enhance exchanges and cooperation with all countries on innovation to create more possibilities for global development and modernization, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular press conference in Beijing on Tuesday.
Mao made the remarks when asked about the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games held in Beijing last weekend.
Robot teams from 15 countries participated in the Games. Some say that the Humanoid Robot Games demonstrates China's competitiveness and influence in the fields of artificial intelligence and robots. China is seizing a leading edge in its technology competition with the United States.
"I saw some online videos of the Games, which was quite fascinating. Humanoids are stepping out of the labs and into people's lives." Mao said.
Mao noted that over the past few months, China has hosted the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, the World Robot Conference and the World Humanoid Robot Games. The events not only showcased the innovations in AI and robotics, but also provided the world with new platforms for exchanges over frontier technologies and conversations on future industries.
China believes that only through openness and cooperation can innovation thrive and spur human progress, Mao said. (By Ma Ziqian/China Youth Daily)
