In the women's singles second round of the 2025 China Open, Chinese player Zheng Qinwen made a triumphant return to the court after a two-month hiatus, needing just 84 minutes to defeat Colombia’s Arango 6-3, 6-2. With this victory, Zheng extended her perfect record against Arango to 3-0 and secured a spot in the tournament’s third round. She will next face 26th-seeded Nosková.She expressed optimism about making a deep run at the China Open.
