China Responds to US Plan for 100% Tariff Hike
China's Ministry of Commerce has responded to the US announcement of potential 100% tariffs on Chinese imports, labeling the move as "typical double standard." The ministry emphasized that China's latest export controls on rare earths and related items are normal regulatory measures taken to improve the export management system in accordance with Chinese laws.
The US has long been abusing export controls and adopting discriminatory practices against China, which have severely undermining the atmosphere of bilateral economic and trade talks. China warned that Beijing would take all necessary measures to protect its legitimate rights and interests if the US continues its unilateral approach.
