Key economic provinces including Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shandong, Fujian, Zhejiang and Henan are prioritizing innovation-driven development in response to priorities highlighted during the Nationala “Two Sessions”. 

　　As 2026 marks the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, these provinces are placing innovation at the core of their strategies. Jiangsu is advancing sci-tech and industrial collaboration, while Shandong, Fujian and Zhejiang are strengthening enterprises’ role in innovation. Guangdong and Henan are promoting targeted reforms, with Guangdong focusing on manufacturing-service integration and major industrial clusters, and Henan deepening integration into the national unified market and expanding opening-up through platforms such as the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone.
