Beijing Underground City Reopens as Civil Defense Museum

Built in 1969 and closed in 2008, Beijing Underground City officially reopened on May 12 as Beijing Civil Air Defense History Museum. Spanning 2,500 square meters, it displays national defense models and records local civil defense progress. Citizens can visit for free via reservation from Tuesday to Sunday. The museum will launch regular patriotic education and study programs later.
