A spectacular sea of clouds rolled over Songyun Mountain National Forest Park in Huaihua, Central China's Hunan province, on a recent morning, as the rising sun cast golden light across the sweeping landscape.
As the sun rose, it cast a golden light across the sweeping landscape. The clouds surged like waves between the peaks, with mist drifting through the valleys and ridgelines, leaving only the mountain tops visible and creating a scene that visitors described as something out of a fairy tale.
Situated at the confluence of two rivers, Songyun Mountain's high peaks and surrounding waters create the perfect conditions for these cloud formations. The forest park attracted large crowds during the recent National Day holiday.
According to locals, the best time to view the sea of clouds and sunrise is from October to April. Several viewing platforms have been established at different elevations throughout the park, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery from multiple angles.
