FISU Football World Cup Kicks Off in Dalian

The 2025 FISU Football World Cup opened on Sept 17 at Suoyuwan Stadium in Dalian, featuring 24 university teams. China fields four squads, including defending women’s champion Beijing Normal University and 2024 Asian Cup winner Shanghai University of Sport. In the opening match, Shanghai University of Sport women’s team defeated the University of Valencia 4-0.
